- ๐ Inhibits fungal cell mitosis by disrupting microtubule function.
- ๐งด Deposits in keratin precursor cells โ protects new skin, hair, and nails from infection.
๐ Indications
- ๐ฆ Dermatophyte infections (skin, hair, nails).
- ๐ฃ Tinea infections (e.g., tinea corporis, tinea pedis, tinea unguium).
๐ Interactions
- โ ๏ธ Reduces warfarin efficacy (โ anticoagulant effect).
- โฌ๏ธ Efficacy reduced by barbiturates.
- ๐ท Alcohol may cause a disulfiram-like reaction.

- ๐ซ History of acute porphyria.
- ๐จ Men: avoid fathering children for 6 months post-therapy.

- โ ๏ธ Can precipitate acute porphyria; may trigger/worsen SLE.
