Images & illustrations
Add clinical photographs, diagrams and illustrations to the web book only. Files are stored in book/assets/uploads/ when published; no SQLite database or external topic catalogue is involved.
1. Choose an image
2. Add it to an article
From Edit: open the article, select Add image, choose or upload the picture, then save the article.
On a PHP website: the image is uploaded to this book’s assets/uploads folder and remains available for reuse.
When opened offline: your image is embedded in an exported HTML page. Download the revised article from Edit and replace its original file in the book folder.
Privacy: avoid uploading patient-identifiable photographs or confidential metadata without appropriate consent and institutional safeguards.

Private owner tool. Search Commons for images with clearly identified CC0, public-domain, CC BY or CC BY-SA licences. Confirm the creator and licence on the original file page before using an image in a commercial book. Pictures are downloaded to this website rather than hotlinked.
Original Commons source, creator, licence and resizing notice are saved in the figure caption and a private attribution record. CC BY-SA images may require share-alike licensing of adapted versions. Check third-party rights such as patient consent independently.
